Leather Care, Warranty, & FAQ

To ensure the longevity of your leather items, I recommend that once every couple months you take a moment to care for them by using a leather conditioner or balm to prevent them from drying out. This will help them also maintain their beauty for a much longer time.

I take pride in the quality of my work & warranty all hand crafted leather items for 1 year from the purchase date. If there is an issue with the quality or construction on my part, I will gladly replace the item or work with you to make things right. I do understand & recognize normal wear & tear is bound to happen. However there are some items that are not meant to be abused, (dog collars, for example should be worn as an accessory, not used for daily wear, nor should they be used with a leash). Any damage beyond normal, standard use will not be warrantied. I will certainly try to be reasonable, if you have issues or questions, please reach out to me so we can reach a conclusion.

FAQ

Why do you require a deposit for custom work?

I would love to live in a world where I didn’t have to require a deposit on custom work. Sometimes I have to buy specific materials for a special project. But usually it’s really just because cuts on work has a name, initials or brand on it, and would not be able to be resold if the original customer chose not to pay me upon it’s completion. This means I’m out the time, money, & materials.

Why would you refer me to another artisan?

Leather crafting is an art & we all have different styles & customers have different preferences. I want everything that leaves my work bench to be beautiful & heirloom quality and I want my customer to be thrilled with it. Sometimes it’s because I simply don’t craft certain things. If I don’t feel like both of those can be achieved, I don’t want to move forward.

Why don’t you craft X, Y, or Z?

Usually I’m happy to try crafting something new. But sometimes, there are specific things I choose not to make due to tools, skill set, or liability. I often get asked about gun holsters, conceal carry purses, & saddles. Gun holsters require a very specific dummy gun in order to make your holster. These are expensive & if you don’t specialize in holsters, it’s not feasible or profitable. I also just don’t like to deal with anything that will hold a gun due to liability reasons. It’s simply not a can of worms I want to open. As with certain tack & saddles, I just don’t have the space or equipment to get into that at this time.

What about refunds?

Deposits, shipping & custom orders are non refundable. You more than likely ordered from me because you saw my work and liked it. You have seen my work, my skill & my style. If there is an issue, please reach out and we will work together to get it resolved.

Will your prices change?

Just like any other business, costs of operation, materials, ect, fluctuate & therefore so might my prices. I understand that a custom order is an investment & may need a little consideration, so I will honor a quoted price for 30 days.
